Pitching It

I actually enjoy pitching an article idea.

I get energy, excitement, and a rush from crafting a new idea and turning it into something hopeful. Something sellable. Something that promises an unforgettable article for future readers.

But the wait.

That can be draining.

It is the voices. The doubt. The fear. The insecurity. The history of editors saying the idea is great, but it just doesn't work for them.

Sometimes it feels like it doesn't work for anyone.

This is why I wish I could grow the site and newsletter faster.

Less worry about the rejection and the painful waiting game.

I put it out there and find out if it has an audience.

But there is always a rush that comes with that pitch that gets accepted.
