You may have heard of this thing called social media? Well, it has had a tad of an impact on the movie industry, and that is what we're all about discussing this week. We look at how it has brought fans together and allowed for some major social movements that have spurred real change in Hollywood like #MeToo and #OscarSoWhite. We also look at the dark side with recent news that Zack Snyder may have weaponized his fanbase and encouraged the toxic elements on social media. Speaking of toxic, we look at the monetization of negativity when discussing movies that has risen recently. But we also look at how the internet has been a positive place for creators and unique forms of arts, expression, and storytelling.
