I Need a Little Help (and I’m Offering My Words, Imagination, and Heart in Return)

After several years of unknowingly living in autistic burnout, my recent diagnosis has given me clarity, but also new challenges. I’m slowly learning how to work with my brain instead of against it.

For the first time in a long time, I feel like my creative career is rebuilding. My writing, my podcast, and this site (Beyond the Balcony) finally feel like they’re growing in the right direction.

But right now, I’m facing a setback. A collection agency is chasing me for $1,840 from a closed chequing account. I don’t have the funds to cover it yet, and the stress is making it hard to focus on what I love most: creating and connecting through stories.

If you’ve enjoyed my work over the years and if my reviews, essays, or reflections have ever made you laugh, think, or feel seen, please consider supporting what I’ve been offering freely for so long:

💡 Hire me for quick-turnaround writing: ad copy, blog posts, or articles infused with creativity and heart.

❤️ Commission a personalized short story;  a meaningful and unique holiday gift for a loved one.

Or, if you’d simply like to support my ongoing creative work:

Ko-Fi: ko-fi.com/christopherdspicer

It would mean more than I can express.

I’m not giving up; I just need a little help getting over this bump so I can keep creating, sharing, and growing.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
