I’ve loved movies for as long as I can remember. And, as it turns out, I’ve also been ADHD and autistic my whole life, though I only recently realized it. That makes me think there’s always been a connection between the two. Maybe the way I’ve formed a relationship with movies is part of how I’ve navigated my neurodivergence, even before I knew I had it.
In this week’s episode, I open up about how movies became a special interest, why I’ve always connected with outsiders on screen, my thoughts on how Hollywood portrays “nerds” or neurodivergent-coded characters, and the ways film has been both a safe space and a source of creative inspiration.
This is definitely an episode where you’ll get to know me better, but it’s also a chance to explore how movies can be experienced through a neurodivergent lens.

I am a writer, so I write. When I am not writing, I will eat candy, drink beer, and destroy small villages.
