The light grows fainter,
Hope tangled in the bramble.
Sometimes all is blurred,
Other times, wrapped in darkness.
Yet I keep on—
Stumbling,
Questioning,
Hollering,
Tripping,
Stumbling still.
But I never stop moving.
I keep opening the bag of dreams,
Believing I can still plant the seed,
Still embrace reality.
I tell myself not to look back.
I don’t need to know how long I’ve stumbled,
Or how far this path has gone.
I just need to rescue hope,
To focus on the light.
I stumble.
But I move on.

I am a writer, so I write. When I am not writing, I will eat candy, drink beer, and destroy small villages.
