This weekend is the final two shows for Paris Performers’ Theatre's FESTIVE DOUBLE BILL of The Mayor Who Banned Christmas, and It's a Wonderful Life at St. Paul’s United Church in Paris, Ontario.
A Family Affair on Stage
Our kids are back in The Mayor Who Banned Christmas, a playful, heart-forward production that feels tailor-made for this time of year. Theatre has become a shared language in our household, and I'm always filled with joy seeing my kids passion and love pour out on the stage. Everett will be the Mayor this weekend.
Meanwhile, Emily and I are lending our voices (many of them, in fact) to a live radio-play-style production of It’s a Wonderful Life. Yes, that means rapid-fire character changes, sound effects, and the occasional moment of holding a conversation with myself.
Will I be able to keep track of all the voices? Will I completely lose my mind mid-performance? There’s only one way to find out.
Why This Kind of Theatre Matters
Paris Performers’ Theatre’s FESTIVE DOUBLE BILL isn’t just about putting on a show; it’s about gathering people together, celebrating the season locally, and supporting a creative community that thrives on participation and goodwill.
If you’re looking for a way to support local arts, enjoy some festive storytelling, and maybe see a few performers juggle multiple roles this weekend is a wonderful opportunity.
Tickets are available now, and we’d love to see you there.
