The Latest 'Life on the Balcony' Explore Those Times AuDHD Feels Like a Disability


I've written a lot about autism and ADHD this year. To the point, new readers may be shocked that I once wrote mostly about movies and pop culture. As the new year arrives, I plan to review many more 2026 new releases and catch up on some movies I missed.  

But I believe writing about my autism and ADHD diagnosis is important work. It is a form of therapy for me, but I've heard from several readers who said it helped them feel seen or gave them a new perspective. I feel it is valuable to continue to write about it, along with movie reviews and pop culture analysis.

The latest Life on the Balcony newsletter is completely focused on my AuDHD experience, and in this case, those unfortunate times, it feels less like a superpower for creativity and more like a debilitating disability.

My desire is that this will help some feel seen, offer a fresh perspective, and take the stigma away from neurodivergence.
