Ko-fi Gratitude

I’ve received a few donations over the past few weeks, and it has meant more than I can easily put into words.

Especially during a time when I’m still trying to figure out what 2026 is going to look like, while also carrying some shame about not delivering every podcast, newsletter, or review that I promised.

Those donations don’t just put a little money in my pocket during a time when I genuinely need it. They’re also an affirmation that what I’m creating matters.

A few people have even set up monthly subscriptions through Ko-fi, which is incredibly humbling. It’s also made me pause and ask an important question: should I be offering something extra for those supporters?

With plans to eventually introduce a paid tier for Life on the Balcony, and possibly launch a Patreon down the line, I don’t want to promise more than I can sustainably deliver. I’ve burned myself out before.

For now, I mostly just want to say thank you for the support, the trust, and the reminder that messy, imperfect work can still matter.
