My Wrestling Fix

Almost all WWE programming has moved to Netflix, which, in theory, means I should be up to date on the latest in wrestling.

And yet, I haven’t watched first-run WWE programming in almost a year.

I’ve just been getting my fix through the fine people running the WWE Vault and WCW YouTube channels. They’ve been serving up a steady blast from the past.

My only real frustration is how uneven the uploads are. I wish the shows were presented sequentially instead of hopping over large chunks of episodes. I understand why that happens with WCW Nitro and Thunder because they want to avoid episodes involving Chris Benoit.

What I don’t fully understand is why WWF Superstars or World Championship Wrestling from the 1980s also skip around so much. It would be fun to be able to go through a whole season without major gaps.

Still, it’s been a lot of fun. Sometimes I’m reliving my childhood. Other times, I’m finally catching up on wrestling I missed the first time around.

You don't need current wrestling when the history is so much fun.
