Juggle Opportunities

I haven't had any millionaires knock on my door offering me high rates to write for them. Most of my recent pitches or applications have elicited silence. But I've also had a few publicists and independent film studios reach out to me with requests for reviews and interviews. A few other creators and organizations have offered collaborations. My site, podcast, and newsletter still attract decent audiences compared to the work I've released this year.

While none of this leads to actual money. Money I desperately and immediately need. It does allow for further growth in fields and projects I am passioante about. It is potential leverage in furthering growth and, if not leading to future work, at least allows me to have an audience that could potentially be open to paying for further work or supporting my work.

But I also need to be careful about what exactly I put my time and energy into. I also need to be careful about what I have the rights to. I definitely need to be careful to make sure I do work that also lands me some of that much-needed line of credit and bill-paying money.

Right now, I have to figure out exactly what my short-term plans and goals are when it comes to my career, my projects, and where I want to go next.

I definitely feel opportunities are arising, even if it isn't in the form of the immediate money I need.

I'm grateful just the same.
