Special Effects are Gorgeous but I Still Hear my Soul Suffocating

I get lots of people really dig Transformers. We wouldn't be going on a fifth movie in Transformers: The Last Knight if that wasn't the case. But I find even watching these trailers to be exhausting, and as the franchise chugs along, each movie feels more and more like product. The first one had some heart and charm, but that now seems to have been an accident on Michael Bay's part. I'm dreading the prospect of having to review this for the Breakdown, but I'll cling to hope that this whole King Arthur story arc breathes some new life into it. And no, Optimus Prime going evil doesn't interest me, because I'm pretty sure he turned heroic even halfway through this trailer.
