The Breakdown of Modern Movie Trends

The new releases were sparse this week, so instead we are doing a very special episode that we are calling The Breakdown of Modern Movie Trends. We are looking at a variety things that are frequently showing up at the cinemas including the rise of the stinger, dramatizing of comedies and horror and retconning sequels to beloved classics. We will discuss how some of these latest strategies are great and how others really need to be reworked. Even though this is a very in the moment episode, we will also look at where we think these trends are heading and what we can expect in the future of movies.
