The Breakdown of 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil', 'Zombieland: Double Tap', 'El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie' and 'In the Shadow of the Moon'

It is a big day in Canada, as it is the Federal Election, which we don't make any mention of on The Movie Breakdown. Because on this podcast, we talk movies (and recording it on Sunday means it wasn't fresh on our minds either) and you can elect to listen to all four of our reviews. The theatre had some big sequels released in the dark-ish Disney fantasy family adventure, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and then we've got a gory comedy sequel not for kids in Zombieland: Double Tap. Netflix doesn't want to be left out of the sequel game, as they have a movie that is a follow-up to the popular Breaking Bad TV series in El Camino. Then it is time to discuss a sci-fi thriller in the noir-ish In the Shadow of the Moon. After that, we look at the huge box office success of Joker and analyze what can be learned by this surprise (at least to me) smash hit.

As always, we really appreciate your support, and the best way to allow the show to grow is to share us on social media to other movie buffs.

Reminder that you can subscribe either to The Movie Breakdown feed (a subscription link is at the top right hand of this site) or on iTunes (if you enjoy the show, please help us by giving us a five star review).
