The Breakdown of Love - 'Pretty Woman', 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner', '10 Things I Hate About You', 'Out of Sight' and 'I Want You Back'

 

Valentine's Day has just passed, but that doesn't mean we can't share some more love. This week The Movie Breakdown is going all in on romance with five different pictures. We have the massive 1990s box office smash hit and the movie that was the break-out for Julia Roberts into superstardom with Pretty Woman. We have another major hit in a classic film that tackled major social issues while still being charming and fun in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. We also have some teenage romance with another movie that launched a few careers in the comedy inspired by Shakespeare in 10 Things I Hate About You. We also have a thriller mixed with romance in the Steven Soderbergh directed cult hit, Out of Sight. It isn't all older movies, as we review a 2022 romantic comedy in I Want You Back.

It is a loaded episode, and there is a good chance you'll find something worth checking out even if you're not normally into romantic movies.
