Once Upon a December. . . in May: The Latest Spicer Theatrical Adventure

I promised you Beauty and the Beast was just the beginning of the Spicer family's united foray on the big stage. We're very close to our latest musical with Playful Fox Productions, Anastasia. It is not as well known as the Disney classic, and this is actually one of the tale's first community theatre presentations.

It is packed with very catchy and moving musical numbers that I've grown to love. Emily has even teared up watching a few scenes that are elevated by some breathtaking performances. . . and this is just the rehearsals without the adrenaline of being in front of a live audience.

I am well aware many of my readers don't even live in Canada, which means you're nowhere near Southern Ontario. But maybe somehow you will find yourself wandering about in the lovely province this month and looking to be entertained. Anastasia will most definitely deliver.

Danika would especially love for you to come because she is thrilled with her role as Little Anastasia, where she plays the youngest version of the title character. Everett has to really stretch himself by playing her brother. Emily and I have bigger roles than we had in the last musical with several speaking parts where we actually need to showcase some acting chops.

It would be absolutely terrific if you came out to watch us along with the magnificent cast. This is an incredibly directed show with performers putting their heart and soul into the production. It gets the Spicer Stamp of Approval, though I may be a tad biased.

If you are in the area and want to have a magically musical evening then here are the necessary details:
