The Breakdown of 'King Kong' (1976), 'Finding Ohana', 'Yes Day' and 'The Last Blockbuster'

Last week on The Movie Breakdown, we reviewed the original 1933 King Kong and this week we follow that up with the 1976 remake. This version was a huge box office hit but not as successful with critics. Does it deserve that reputation? Did it justify remaking a classic? We discuss all that this week as we deep dive into this giant remake.

We also review two 2021 family movies released by Netflix including the treasure hunting adventure set in Hawaii in Finding 'Ohana and the Jennifer Garner starring comedy about a day where the parents allow almost everything in Yes Day.

Also, we hit a bit of the nostalgia sweet spot as we look back at the video rental store in the documentary, The Last Blockbuster.

As always, we had a blast recording the episode and we really hope you love listening to it. If you do, then please help us out by spreading the word on social media so other movie fans can find us.
